Elizabeth Ngai

Elizabeth Ngai is currently a high school senior attending the United Nations International School in New York City. She has a strong robotics background, being a part of the Forest Hills Robotics League for the past 12 years, since 2009, competing through the FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) organization. Currently, Elizabeth is the captain of her 9-member team, the Gearmasters, who have advanced to the World Championships three years in a row, as well as winning first place overall in New York City in 2020 and in 2021.

In her school, she is the president of the Girls in Tech club and founder of the AAPI Student Union. Furthermore, she has a strong passion for promoting STEM to females around the world, closing the gap of inequality between genders and incomes. Outside of robotics and school, Elizabeth takes pleasure in playing the trumpet, skiing, traveling, eating, and doing art.
